About Marlys

Marlys Caceres is an Australian-born, Chilean-raised, and Chicago-based designer and educator with over a decade of experience working in both agency and freelance settings. Known for her eagle eye for detail, Marlys approaches creativity with a design process rooted in research, data collection, and project management. Her favorite part of any project is teasing apart information to uncover valuable insights, and she has a particular passion for layout design. Marlys thrives on collaborating with teams and clients, using her expertise in hands-on design, team leadership, client relationship building, and project management to get things done efficiently.

Outside of work, she enjoys planning her next trip, spending time with her cats Uhtred and Fiona, hanging out with family and friends, and trying new recipes.
